Memorial Day at Evergreen

Pictured above are members of the Carroll Academy Student Council members who placed flags on the graves of veterans of all wars that are buried in Evergreen Cemetery for Memorial Day.  They are pictured at the grave of Michael H. Ball for whom the local VFW Post 12191 is named.  Also pictured with them is the VFW Post Commander, Stanley ” Sugar” Mullins, the CA Student Council Sponsor, Mr. Taylor Rodgers and the Regent of Third Arrow Chapter, DAR, Liz Wilson.

Easter Bake Sale Success

Evergreen Cemetery board members Carol Mann and Snooky Lee prepare for the Evergreen Cemetery Easter Bake Sale. The sale netted $3017 that will be used for much needed repairs at the cemetery.

The Cemetery board thanks everyone who baked items for sale and everyone who came and purchased a delicious item for their Easter celebration.

Donations are also appreciated and can be mailed to the Evergreen Cemetery at PO Box 425, North Carrollton, MS 38947.
